Why Schools Choose BandBaazar

The Three Questions Every School Asks Us

Nearly every enquiry about girls school band uniforms comes down to the same three worries: will it pass our dress code, can the girls actually move in it, and will all sixty sets match. Here's how we deal with each one.

It Will Pass Your Dress Code

You set the skirt length, sleeve and neckline. If you already have a uniform length parents are used to, send us a sample and we'll match it.

The Girls Can Actually Play In It

Extra room through the shoulder and armhole. A side drummer needs to swing both arms for forty minutes without the jacket riding up her back.

Sixty Sets, One Size Chart

Everything is cut off the same confirmed chart. Nothing gets subcontracted out to a second tailor halfway through, which is usually why batches end up mismatched.

Skirt, Culotte or Trouser

Three options for the lower half. Culottes are the one most schools land on — they read as a skirt but the girls can march and sit in them properly.

Crest Embroidery That Holds Up

We digitise your crest before stitching. Cheap embroidery goes fuzzy by the third wash — ours is why schools come back for the next batch.

Paperwork Your Accounts Team Can File

Proper GST invoice, quotation on letterhead, and a purchase order trail. No chasing us for documents at audit time.

Key Features & Benefits

What Matters After the First Parade

A girls school band uniform looks fine on day one. The real test is 26th January, three hours in the sun, then the same set again in August and at the annual function in December.

Standing Around in the Sun

Most of a parade is waiting, not marching. Breathable lining matters more than people expect, especially for a 9 a.m. start in May.

Nothing to Adjust Mid-March

Adjustable waistband, proper fastenings. A girl shouldn't be tugging at her skirt while the troupe is moving.

Matching What You Already Have

Send us your blazer or an old uniform piece and we'll match the shade. Easier than describing 'our navy' over the phone.

Next Year's Batch Will Match

We keep your specs on file. When ten new girls join, you get ten sets that match the existing sixty, not a near-enough approximation.

Premium Fabric Details

Picking the Right Fabric

This mostly comes down to where your school is. Coastal and humid, go gaberdine. Hill stations and north India winters, terry wool. Everywhere else, poly-viscose does the job at a lower cost.

What We Check Before Packing

A school can't send back forty uniforms two days before Republic Day. So we check at four points rather than only at the end.

Fabric, Before Cutting

Rolls get checked for shade variation and weave faults. A bad roll caught here saves the whole batch.

Cutting Against the Chart

Cut strictly to the size chart you signed off, not to whatever the tailor remembers from last time.

Seams and Hems

Checked partway through, not just at the end. Fixing a seam mid-stitch is quick; re-doing a finished jacket isn't.

One Set Against the Sample

We pull a finished set from the batch and hold it against the mock-up you approved. If it doesn't match, nothing ships.
