A full-size Bb euphonium with three piston valves and a nickel silver finish. The tenor voice of a brass band — warm, round and easier to get a full tone from than a trumpet, which is why school bands so often start students here.
Confirm your order with a 30% advance of ₹4,500 — balance payable before dispatch.
Standard Bb pitch, so it reads the same parts every Indian brass and school band uses.
Top-action pistons in the standard layout, smooth under the fingers with regular oiling.
Bright plated finish that holds up to handling and outdoor parade conditions.
Conical bore gives the full tenor voice that carries a melody without cutting harshly.
A larger mouthpiece makes a first clear note far easier than on trumpet or cornet.
Upward bell projects over a marching line instead of getting lost behind it.
Held in quantity, so school orders ship without a long manufacturing wait.
Tracked dispatch anywhere in India, free on prepaid orders.

Nadir Ali euphonium in Bb, nickel silver finish
The euphonium is the instrument that carries the tune in the middle of a brass band. Sitting between the trumpets above and the tubas below, it plays the line an audience actually hums on the way home. In a school band it is often the most useful instrument you can buy, because it is both the easiest brass instrument to get a real note out of and the one that gets the best parts.
Ask any band master which brass instrument a nervous eleven-year-old should start on and most will say euphonium before trumpet. The reason is physical. The euphonium mouthpiece is considerably larger, so the lip aperture a student has to form is less precise, and a recognisable note comes out in the first lesson rather than the fifth. The conical bore also does more of the work of shaping the tone, so early sound is fuller and less thin. Students stay motivated because they sound like a musician sooner.
This is a full-size Bb euphonium in nickel silver plated brass with three top-action piston valves. Nickel plating is the practical choice for Indian school and parade conditions — it is harder than lacquer, resists the scuffing that comes from being handled by a dozen different students, and does not lift or flake the way lacquer does when an instrument spends its life going in and out of a band room cupboard.
The three-valve top-action layout is the standard for school and marching work. It keeps the weight balanced over the left arm and puts the valves under the right hand in the position every method book assumes, so anything a student learns here transfers directly to any other euphonium later.
The euphonium's conical bore — the tubing widens gradually from the mouthpiece to the bell rather than staying cylindrical — is what gives it that warm, round, slightly dark voice. It is the tenor of the brass family and it blends rather than cutting, which is exactly what you want in the middle of a band. It sits under the cornets and trumpets, above the basses, and it fills the sound out. Remove the euphoniums from a brass band and it goes immediately hollow.
On parade the upward-facing bell matters more than people expect. A forward or upward bell projects over the line rather than into the back of the player in front, so the sound reaches the crowd instead of getting absorbed by the band itself.
These two get confused constantly, and schools sometimes buy the wrong one. Both are Bb tenor brass instruments reading the same parts. The difference is bore and bell:
If you are buying one instrument for a school band and the part is written for either, buy the euphonium.
We hold ready stock rather than making to order, which matters when a school needs instruments before a Republic Day or annual function deadline. If you are equipping a full section, message us with the quantity and we will quote bulk pricing rather than multiplying the single-unit price.
A mouthpiece is supplied with the instrument. Confirm current case or gig bag options with us on WhatsApp when you place your order, so there are no surprises on delivery.

Yes. The euphonium is one of the more forgiving brass instruments to start on — the larger mouthpiece and conical bore make it easier to produce a full tone than a trumpet, which is why school bands often start students here.
Both are Bb tenor brass, but the euphonium has a wider conical bore and a larger bell, giving a rounder, darker and fuller sound. The baritone is narrower and brighter. For most school band parts written for either, the euphonium is the more common choice in India.
Yes. The upright bell projects forward and up, which is what you want on a parade ground, and the nickel finish handles outdoor use.
